"Beans" again...ready to get out of this ice-box we slept in last night...soooooooooooooooo much better than stopping at the one with a stone fireplace...right?????????????????"
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...dropped into the low 40's last night and we are seeing exactly ZERO SOBO's now...this does not bode well.
According to White Blaze Weather App it is a balmy 52 degrees this morning.
I am huddled around the fire with my coffee, as I start the day.
About 50 miles to New Hampshire.
(...but virtually...we will get there today...)

The Inside
On past The Wintturi Shelter
(..which still looks somewhat better than the three sided cow shed we stayed in...just saying...)
Across VT 12 and the Woodstock Bridge
And a quick off the trail jaunt into Woodstock Vermont!

Which also sports a privy.
(...isn't that the cutest thing ever???)
Down Joe Ranger Road to the White River Iron Bridge.

A Welcome to New Hampshire Moose...I'm guessing...
(...wait just a minute...nobody said a damned thing about encountering a moose on the trail...)
At 1743 miles in we are only 447 miles from Mt. Katahdin!!!!
And I am headed to civilization (where there are no moose) and warm bathes, good meals and a soft bed for a Fri-Sat-Sun ZERO Weekend!
See you on Monday- when we start New Hampshire!
Love,
