That's right...
The coughing, sneezing, feverish, OMG...I'm dying!
Also known as the common cold.
Recovering after a week of Sprite and Soups and Crackers...but no virtual travels this week...or travel much of anywhere else. And don't even ASK about the laundry or dishes at this point.
When we left one another, Chris and Don and I were about to have our Autumn Luncheon...which went very nicely with Chinese and chat...and Chris even playing his guitar for us.
Then Halloween arrived with grands, ghouls and goblins, chocolate and pumpkin-shaped pizza...
Some of John's Grands
And some of mine.
(...talked to James and Nicole this morning...who have also been sick all week with this cold...we suspect the children...little germ-bags...)
Somewhere, between now that then, cold weather came...and November arrived.
Suddenly it was between 28 degrees and the mid-50's.
The leaves had changed from beautiful crimsons and yellows and orange to the muted turning to browns...and were falling.
Very short autumn this year.
Pretty much slept through the end of it.
But here we are.
Feeling almost human today.
(...and who's going to clean up this mess???)
Okay...maybe not THIS bad...
But still pretty bad.
Did manage a movie last night-
A post-apocalyptic film about a man who previously worked in AI Robotics who develops a robot to take care of his dog when he realizes he will die of slow radiation poisoning soon.
Hanks is probably the only actor out there who could pull this off.
Except for brief flashbacks...we see no other cast.
Just Hanks...The robots and his dog.
Still, somehow, he manages to makes us laugh out loud and cry and give us the feel-good ending we need.
You'll love the robot's discovery of self.
"I am an excellent driver."
Or when he decides he wants a name.
Napoleon was SHORT.
I needed this....maybe you do, too!
Now to reclaim the house...and maybe some solid food!
Have a Great Weekend...and don't forget DST!
