Shanghai means "On the Sea" and it is...with both the Yellow Sea and the Yellow River surrounding or running through its midst.
It is hard to imagine that this bustling city was once only a sleepy fishing village.

Most off the cuisine is known as Benbang and centers around steamed and stirfried foods. A lot of dumpling or fish/seafood dishes.
