A Long Month...Father's Day...The Middle of The Year...and More

...yeah...how the hell is it JUNE, already???

Probably because the end of May was plagued with disasters for both John and myself...looking a lot like this:

Storms and tree limbs falling...getting trees trimmed and removed...falls and fractures...but I have to use that arm to transfer myself...so many pain pills...pipes failing that will need replaced...and why doesn't the water heater work??? and what is that puddle in hallway all about...what do you mean his blood sugar is almost 600...how long are they keeping him...he has to have his water pills...because he has CHF...that's why...sciatica...possible cellulitis...we found #88...waited like everyone else for the calves...and then lost her.

And both of us....so tired.

But it hasn't all been a disaster.

Robert is now out of the hospital...diabetes and edema under control...the tree service came and cleaned up from the storm and took down 2 trees that were threatening the power lines...the arm has healed and only a lump is left...and I'm not having to live on pain medication...both his pipes and my water-heater are soon to be fixed/replaced...not cellulitis and the sciatica is less...

And it is

with Chris celebrating his very FIRST!!!

Presenting Lachlan!

Who arrived with much love and fanfare at the end of May.

And a happy start to the summer as James bought a year family pass to King's Island...so they are going almost every weekend!!!

Lennon is good...and happy that Florida has a realistic chance of going blue this November.

So...here we are...the middle of the year...and there have been a few health issues/adjustments...but both John and I are STILL here, and beginning our 7th year together!

Planning a retreat soon...and after the past month...we deserve it!

Because we've managed to survive...

Love,

Carla, John and the Cats
