Woke to a fresh blanket of snow...sipping dark hot cocoa and the TREE gets a temporary reprieve from its removal today.
The low hanging ball is Sofi's.
If I give her an ornament she can mess with...it seems to keep her from bothering the rest of them.
Loved the Dexter Bear...my "tossed teddy" for 2020. He fit right in with the Christmas decor!

Sofi-Cat enjoyed the return of John (her rough toy).
He can play with her the way she loves...kicking and beating the hell out of his hand, basically. She knows she can't play rough with me.
And he participated in The Flinging of the Lead Icicles...because what is a little brain-damage among lovers, eh???
Although she got a plethora of cat toys...she wasn't the only one to get a toy this Christmas!
I found John his first-ever remote control wheelie car from Sharper Image.
Now used to terrorize...er...play with Gadget.

He made an earlier stop to Our Favorite Chocolate Shoppe which Jayne has already decked out for Valentine's Day...

I finally finished the Fall painting...saved by John who wanted it...thereby saving it from the Bin Bag...
Instead, I carved our initials in the tree with a paintbrush.
Fixed us our late Christmas Dinner. Roast Duck and Baked Sweet Potatoes & Fresh Asparagus with Caramel-Topped Cheesecake for afters.
Yeah...we are both terrible foodies!
And made our Getaway to The Inn...which to our delight...they have remodeled since our last visit!
...an aside...up past midnight is now well beyond both our bedtimes...lol!
We're OLD, damn it...
Woke, and decided to live dangerously in these Covid-Ridden times by heading out to a sit-down birthday breakfast at The Breakfast Company!
What a wonderful 2-days!
And we're already planning our February Valentine's Getaway together!
Both of us assessing and realizing the toll that last year's stress and quarantine have taken on us...weight...muscle atrophy and strength.
It is amazing how quickly.
We are good for one another...and both of us have made a commitment to regroup for 2021.
A scary reminder for me was the recent loss of my neighbor Rita...who can no longer live independently and was moved after Christmas into a nearby nursing home.
She had lost the ability to transfer or take care of herself.
If anything will motivate you to up your workout game...well, THAT will.
The Covid situation is bleak right now.
As the US nears 400,000 deaths and recently seeing 200,000-300,000 new infections each day with a couple days of over 4,000 deaths per day.
Globally, we are nearing 95 Million infected with over 2 Million dead. They are seeing well over a half a million new infections daily.
On a more personal level...my friend, Priscilla, who used to drive for the transit...just lost her husband of 46 years to it.
She recovered.
He didn't
Chris has it. And is slowly recovering.
Zach, Josh and Jacob have it.
Angie and her entire family are sick with it.
Suddenly, it seems all around us.
Loretta and our friend, Charlcie, have gotten the first vaccination.
John and I are scheduling our's ASAP.
Scary stuff.
Three Vaccines nearly out now. Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson
& Johnson.
The J&J will be a single dose jab.
The beginning of a slow return to normalcy.
And speaking of a return to normalcy...
In 4 days the ADULTS will be back in Charge at the White House...and trust me...it could not come soon enough.
SQUATTER-GATE is almost over!
The FBI has identified over 300 of the people who stormed our nation's capitol...and they are still making identifications...telling people
"We WILL find you."
