August...Idgy's Shop...and Loss

August...the last month of NPB Days...the return of the grands to school...and the winding up of summer.

I think we may enjoy an early (and long) Fall this year.

Idgy making amazing progress on her shop.

It looks incredible. hon!
You've done great!

She is also contemplating adding space reserved (rent free) to host local budding artists...as well as displaying some of her own paintings for sale. Textiles, photography, sculpture, pottery and the like.

Everything for these artists would be displayed and sold Commission Only!

A great way to support local art.

Also processing the loss of my nephew (Lisa's Youngest Son) this week.

                                                               Kenny

Kenny was only a year younger than Chris (my youngest).

Thanks to Chris and Tina, who gave me a ride out to the Memorial yesterday, I was able to be there with Lisa and our sister Tina, and the rest of the family.

Proving one again...life is short...too short.

Holding each other....we three...looking into Lisa's disbelieving, pain filled, devastated face and silently thinking about the rest of our children.  Toshea, Crystal, Stacia, James, Chris, Lennon...and now Serena.

Silent wishes...or prayers...or hopes...that none of us will ever have to bury another of our children...ever.

Planning a "Sisters Day Out" together at the end of the month.

Because life really is too short.

And to my boys:

No matter what you achieve.

No matter what you do in life.

No matter where you go, or who you marry, or even if you marry at all.

My only request is this...

You must ALL outlive me.

John and I getting ready for our August Adventure soon. Some much needed US time.

Also putting the finishing touches on Loretta's Birthday. Circulated her card among all our mutual friends and framing a shot we took at Almost Home during another birthday celebration with she and Diane, Sharon and Judi and I for her room. Can't wait to see her.

Filling her birthday bag with a few of her wants, needs, and favorite things!

I found an Espresso-scented candle for the house and bought coffee-scented oil to mix with neutral bath foam, crystals and lotions. Even dabbing a bit on my wrists.
Loving the fresh coffee scent.

Sofi is getting bigger and starting to eat a bit on her own. Hoping to be able to bring her home after John and I return. Her eyes are still blue...hoping they remain so.  Can't wait!

My Sofi (in the middle)
Nicole sent me a short video and she is just so cute, now!

No new book this week.
Doing a re-read of a favorite classic.

This Week's Movie:

Cruise is back as Ethan Hunt in possibly the most convoluted MI ever.  It seems that double agents aren't enough anymore and there are so many levels of spy~vs-spy-vs-spy you will need a notebook to keep up.

Don't blink or you will miss another plot twist.

Action...and action...and more action...punctuated by many many chase scenes.

By the end of this film you'll be exhausted...no cardio needed.

Very nicely put together. A lot of suspense and drama.

Maybe not the BEST MI...but certainly among them.

Well worth your money!

Working on my Ghost of Monet and laying in a little suggestion of color to the ghost now.

Getting there. Have to give Peterson credit...this is a lot more difficult than I thought it would be...lol.

Exhausted with The Trump Show.

Disgusted with the Congressional GOP.

Mueller is now breathing down their necks, and it shows in Donald's multiple unhinged tweets.

More and more people are joining The Resistance.

I am expecting good things in November!

Next week...Virtual Western Australia.
