Chris is 37...Kansas is 5-0...John is Better and Apex

Chris is 37...

Kansas is now 5-0!!!

And they just fired Colt's GM, Chris Ballard...

woo-hoo!!!!!

John just finished his chemo for the week...and is feeling pretty good.

The spots are still itchy but lessening.

And I found Apex.

An April 2026 release.

Excellent.

Edge of your seat thriller!

Football...Elderly, But Teching...John Update...Hibernation and More

Hibernation has started at Brooks Falls...

And only a few of the USUAL SUSPECTS remain.

Still eating.

#903-Gully...#151 Walker...#602 Flotato

Fall is here, as well.

Woke this morning to the fresh peach color of an early morning sunrise...surprisingly the chirps of a couple of robins who still haven't left...and the cacophony of a civil war between the permanent resident Blue Jays and the seasonal but numerous Crows.

...the jays were seriously pissed, but outnumbered...

...the crows were loud and obnoxious...

Aren't they always?

Needless to say, nobody can sleep through bird wars...and I am UP.

Feel a bit like a toddler who has learned to tie her shoes, this morning.

Back on Microsoft...instead of Linux...and got the screen freezing alert from McAfee...you know the one...grabs on and won't let go

"WE'RE ALL GOING TO FUCKING DIE!!!!"

Well, maybe if you click on it....but otherwise...no.

So proud of myself...don't laugh...went into settings...and notifications...and blocked the goddamn thing.

...I said don't laugh....remember, I am old and new at this...

Teching While Elderly.

John, decided he didn't have enough problems, and ended up with a serious side of shingles to accompany his cancer.

Spots.

Sore...then scabby.

ITCHY!

We're making progress, though.  Managing the pain (cancer) pretty well now...the next round of chemo is this week...pills and OTC sprays to manage the itch of the shingles...a little weight loss, but not a lot...keeping a good appetite and even going to work-outs at rehab when he is up to it.

Hopeful...but taking it day by day.

And enjoying the Games together.

Week Five was BYE for my team, but Sunday his Colts played The Steelers.

Indiana Jones vs Aaron Rodgers

Although we did not win...it was a close and entertaining game.

...and I got to see Rodgers sacked twice...which made it all worthwhile...

Watched

ANIMALS

The October Release with Ben Affleck.

A candidate for LA mayor who finds himself in the middle of an ethical nightmare.

A lot of twists and turns.

People who aren't as good/innocent as they seem to be.

People who aren't as bad as you might have thought.

Humanity...stripped bare.

Edge of your seat!

Well worth a watch...

October...Fat Bear Winner...Football..John's Update...and Movie

Welcome to Spooky Season...

The night-time temps have dipped into the 40's with the first frost on its way. The humming- birds are gone, and noisy crows have taken their place. Leaves are slowly turning bright orange and scarlet.

It's my favorite time of year.

The bears are digging and getting ready for hibernation.

Backpack #89 won Fat Bear, this year.

And a throw-back picture of he and his mom...when he was little...and used to ride on her back...earning him his name.

John has been in quite a bit of pain and having to take painkillers (coupled with the chemo-brain). Good days and bad.

Football helps.

Sunday was wonderful as we watched together as The Colts won in London...then possibly the best game of the season thus-far as the Chiefs won against the Raiders!

4-0 BABY!!!!!

Sunday was mostly football and food with a nap tossed in for good measure.

He did turn me onto a new 2026 movie.

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck...officers who are sent on a 150K RIP only to discover with their team an excess of 20 Million dollars.

A true study in human behaviorism.

Friendships are strained...people are killed...who can you trust?

Available on Netflix...which I immediately signed up for.......

Well worth the money!

Now, back to my Cinderella Day...

Finishing Virtual Jamaica: Swamp Safari

Think Gatorland...only with crocodiles...

Here we are...our last day in Jamacia.

I'm really going to miss all this!

...if I had discovered Jamaica in my 20's I would have soooooooooooooooooooo moved here...

But, here we go...

Swamp Tour

The park covers 50 acres and began as a crocodile sanctuary.

One of the first signs you'll see is TRESSPASSERS WILL BE EATEN.

Home to literally hundreds of the dinosaur-like giants...you realize this is only somewhat tongue-in-cheek.

They are huge, have lots of teeth, and would gladly eat you.

Swamp Safari

A little cramped and old.

A few hands on programs...which was nice.

A final souvenir.

And we say goodbye to Jamaica!
