Already!
October.
My very favourite month of the year!
Spent the end of September finishing Greece (absolutely ruined out...I wonder if realtime travelers experience this...they must...) and enjoyed the last day with Tina
with our first ever SOLO "MIL and soon to be DIL" Brunch together. She is so beautiful, quick-witted and funny.
It is no wonder Chris loves her!
So, we discussed The Wedding and Engagement Party Plans...and colours...and how funny it would be to have Chris with a gauntlet and a falcon for immediately after the white dove release (OMG...hysterical...and no...we will not be setting a hawk on the poor doves and traumatizing the children.) Aiden will be 3 by then (as will Emma...her niece) so they will be the ring bearer and flower girl. And maybe later, a grand-baby...with her shortness and his long lashes which will look exactly like a Disney-Creation.
All this while plundering the dessert tray at Almost Home.
She is beginning EMT Training and hoping to continue and be a Paramedic in the future.
Chris has headed in a similar focus with I.T./Systems Analyst.
And has scheduled 2 of the necessary Certification Exams already. He has a clear path, and plan, for both his short and long term goals.
Chris and I spent Saturday together...catching up...discussing his I.T. plans...and dissecting the "clusterfuck" that was the Presidential debate, of course.
"OMG...when confronted by the potential (human) job losses and his use of loopholes to avoid paying Federal Taxes...he actually said IT'S CALLED DOING BUSINESS...Mom, who the hell would admit that?????????????? If they wanted the regular Joe's vote."
We also tried Arby's new "Smokehouse Sandwich".
Very good!
Chatted with Lennon over the weekend, too...and I can't wait to see a new photo selfie...down from a 38-40 waistline to a 32. He, also, sent a few shots from the Nature Park near him where he has been biking
Working a lot, and still helping with his Grandmother.
He is making the preparations to be at (in) his brother's wedding.
And worried about James, today. My usually healthy, pushing 30 year old,
who had several episodes of bradycardia and chest pain last week
Not so debilitating that he couldn't manage a selfie after the last EKG though...dubbing himself
"EKG-Man".
Both Ford and I, are concerned.
Hopefully by this week we will have a firmer grasp on what is happening and what can be done. He has a much slower lifestyle these days. For this I am grateful. To have a 30 year old body...he has put some serious miles on it in the past.
Thankfully, that is behind him.
So, begins October.
Heavily scheduled with both friends and family.
Pumpkin-Spiced and Caramel Apple EVERYTHING!
A trip to the Orchard, soon, with the Grands, Tina and Nicole and (Tina's sister) Kimber and her daughter, Emma, for pumpkins, hayrides, comb honey and apples!
Worried about "Idgy's" Mom...recently diagnosed with Lung Cancer...now through the biopsy and waiting for the stage/type and plan of action/possible surgery. All plans on indefinite hold until we sort this.
Can't wait to see Jane and Betsy and Dave for our Mini-Gathering soon...and Christopher's 27th Birthday on the 17th.
Looking forward to Brunch with Loretta, Sharon, Judy and Steve, tomorrow afternoon, and hosting a Pasta and Wine brunch here on Wednesday for Donna (Dayne's Mom) and I.
Hoping to see Lisa and Larry on the weekend! And maybe even Tina and Chad soon.
Busy times.
Mostly, just happy it is FALL.
My Favorite Time of Year.
