December

And my fuzzy little Zen-Master, Tucker, reminding me to RELAX during the Holidays! Busy decking the halls. Mailing the cards this week. Used my revolving accounts to get the out-of-town gifts shipped online yesterday. Cyber-Monday.

The Turkey is nearly gone. I sent a large dinner of Turkey and Noodles home with Chris and Tina last night...and am down to a single small bowlful of shredded Turkey salad.  I may have discovered the solution to World Hunger. A large Butterball lasts forever...

Tipping pine cones and faux greenery with a bit of white acrylic paint to pile in a wooden basket on the table. The Decor rustic...hints of burlap this year. Burlap seems to be the big craft/decor item for 2014. Who knew? And "Sugar-Cookie" scent mingles with a small balsam fir candle to set the mood.  Tucker snuggles in my rocking chair or in his favorite pre-Christmas spot beneath the lit tree...

Yes. December has arrived.

And with it my discovery of the month Lady Grey Tea by Twinings. The wonderful flavor of Earl Grey blended with a light hint of Orange. Add a bit of cream and it becomes the perfect breakfast tea.

Not so wonderful...the book of the Weekend. Stephen King's latest novel Revival. It opens in his signature style...drag you in quickly. And for about the next 400 pages or so you are completely wrapped...engrossed. Can't talk. Can't eat. Reading. Then (as he is sometimes known to do) in the last few chapters of the book he drifts away. Loses interest. Decides to wrap it up "It-style" (...no...not the damn Spider, again...but every bit as bad...)  Word to the wise. Close the book after Jacobs heals Astrid and you will walk away a fairly happy person. If you bother to read it to the bitter end...well...you have been warned.

 Just sayin'

Our middle son, Lennon, arrives from college in less than two weeks! Can't wait. Gathering everyone for an early Christmas Dinner and excited about all three of my boys together again...this time with spouses and fiancĂ©...and The Grands, of course. Family...what the holidays are REALLY about.

And nearly time to fix the Christmas fudge!

Celebrating "Idgy's" 39th Birthday!  Coffee...cake and chat soon!

More anon.
