October's Getaway...Rick's Cafe...Chris' 31st Birthday...and Covid (It's Back)

The Getaway Car...

October's Getaway
to Eagle Creek
and the Surrounding Area

Including Rick's Cafe

Ralph the Travel
Bear
at The Baymont

Where we found
Cracker Barrel
Food
was much more enjoyable
casual
and in bed.

Who knew?

(...and don't even get me started about the wake-up call...)

October's Scent provided by
Bath and Body

And leaf-peeping through
the twisty back-roads
through what
was surely
the PEAK
of October's Color.

It was just
Wonderful!

(and so are you, John)

Home

Which is also
getting to
LOOK
a lot like
FALL

Complete with
Sofi's
Cozy CatNest
in front of "her heater" in what used to be
My Rocking Chair.

An early week
pop-in
by James
and a much needed hug
and a late week
early birthday celebration
with Chris and Tina

Where I was treated to
a fly-tying seminar
before Tina arrived!

It is a neat
little contraption.

And amazing
how quickly he can
put together a wet or dry fly
that looks as good
or better
than anything you would
buy in a shoppe.

Hard to believe, as of today...my boys are all over 30.  Which must make me damn old, then!!!

And some not-so-wonderful news earlier this week...as despite all the hard work Idgy has put into her shoppe...and surviving the initial shut-down by Covid this year- it appears it may be shuttered for good after November.

And Covid.

Damn Covid, Anyway.

As we enter the Second Wave.

Going from 20 thousand cases a day in the US...to 40...then 50,000 a day...then 60,000 plus...and yesterday the daily total was over 70,000.

 Many states numbers doubled...Indiana included.

Sadly, right here, 10 months in...with most of us already suffering from Covid Fatigue.  Ready for it to be over...

For life to return more or less back-to-normal.

(...this is why more deaths occur during the Second Wave...than the first one...people just get lax...let their guard down...are so over it...)

This morning Tina and Lisa and I canceled our upcoming Sister's Day.

John and I, have put November and December's Adventures on hold and will be safely here at home together.

(...we didn't get old by being stupid...)

Obviously my Saturday After Thanksgiving Multi-Family Gathering is Canceled.

Also Halloween with James and Nicole and The Grands.

And even Christmas may have to arrive by delivery.

~sigh~

At least you still have us...

Well...as long as the cat treats hold out!

Enjoy the Weekend...and Stay Safe!!!
