The Fly...Early Voting...Apple Butter Pie...and the British are Coming!

The British are COMING...The British are COMING.

Okay...it's just one Brit. Along with two Ohioans. But still...lock up "yor wimmen folk" and hide your beer. (...but only the rich dark imported stouts and such) and don't worry about your tea. Laughed out loud when I asked Betsy what kind of tea that Dave would prefer while visiting

(I swear I am not making this up)

to which she answered

"Oh don't bother...actually he is bringing his own from England."

And I thought I was a TEA SNOB.

So excited about seeing Dave, Betsy and Jane again, though!

Welcome back to America!

Couldn't STAND the whole wait for November 8th thing this Election year. Popped by the local courthouse and did the EARLY VOTING thing...and it is OVER for me.

So now we wait....

After the last debate I did get a laugh out of this guy

That would be the fly that landed on Clinton's Face during said debate.

Who now has his own Twitter Account...hash tags...and 8,600 followers.

And you people think I make this stuff up.

To quote Captain James Hook

"The TRUTH is far more fun"

Tweets like these make the whole thing worthwhile...or at least more entertaining during this clusterfuck of an election.

Cannot believe I was just on live television!

Environmental Policy / Social Issue: I will outlaw ALL bug zappers to stop the needless killing of flies, while also saving energy!
Open Window Policy: Open borders to all immigrants, just like how all household windows should be open for insects (like me) to come and go!

I'm launching a full investigation into possible foul play by the tech team at this last debate, it's become clear my mic wasn't working!

You have to laugh, this year, or else you'd cry.

Anyway...

Enjoyed a good Mall-Ratting with Sharon and Loretta in Terre Haute this week! And the house is now awash with Pumpkin Spice Cupcake Scent.

 Which is amazing!

We plundered Macy's sales and checked out Yankee Candle scents for Thankgiving (...hint...they have an out of this world Caramel Apple Spice Cake Scent...) and enjoyed a Steak Brunch at TGIF's!

This Saturday's Trip to The Orchard with The Grands postponed until next Sunday because Aiden and Brenden woke up with THE PLAGUE.

Little Germbags...lol!

Just settling in today...finishing the housework before Dave & Co. arrive on Monday. A pot of soup beans simmering and baking cornbread later. Maybe pastry-wrapping an Apple to bake with Cinnamon and Walnuts and Brown Sugar and drizzle with Caramel.  You have to have a good contingency plan...lol!

Found this during the week as well

Sister Chestermae Hayes Apple Butter Pie.

Made exactly like you would make a home-made pumpkin pie...except you substitute Apple Butter for the Pureed Pumpkin.

Something I must attempt to bake soon!!!

More anon...
