Finally Friday!

Where else, but Indiana, could it be SNOWING on Monday...

Melted off and 50 degrees by noon that same day...

Hail, Stormy, Raining and Tornado Alerts on Tuesday and Wednesday...

Warm, sunny and beautiful Thursday.

Then overcast...and back to expecting SNOW accumulation on Sunday night, again?

                                                     "SERIOUSLY????"

Feeling a lot like THIS today!

SOON!

Spent part of the evening chatting with Idgy planning our Spring Adventure in only

more days!

Some painting, and learning gold-leafing on glass. Good wine, fresh fruit, cheeses and chocolates. A Flaming Thin Mints Birthday Cake (for our jointly celebrated birthdays) and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream with crushed Thin Mints add in. A photo-trek to the Falls, General Store, and an authentic Mexican restaurant nearby them!

Painting!

So nice to get back to it this week.

Just before I got sick I had started a project I had been visualizing for a while.

"Ghost of Monet"

Inspired by an old photograph I had never seen before of Claude Monet...my very favorite Impressionist artist, standing beside his water gardens.

My vision was to paint the water gardens in color Then "ghost" in Monet ala
Charles Peterson (a contemporary favorite artist of mine)  in transparents/whites.

Beginning.

Day Two.

Then I ended up with The Plague.

Worked this week on the background, though...and it is coming along. Doing a little more detailing before I seal it...and hope to start "ghosting" Monet on the pathway this weekend!

Pretty much caught up from my two week hiatus now. And it feels so good to feel good again!

Phoned my mushroom-guy and have pre-ordered a couple pounds of grays as soon as they pop up.

Finally back to Morning Coffee...and tried that Reese's Creamer. You are right, John.  What the hell were they thinking????

Kind of disgusting, actually.

Still munching away on the end of the Reester Eggs, which are delicious!

So nice to get back to cooking as well. Prepackaged and frozen is all good and fine in a pinch...but the morning I woke up and felt good enough to fry a skillet of red potatoes, bacon and onions...I knew I was healed...lol!

Chris and Tina got to enjoy ComicCon over the weekend!

And I am loving the fluffy beard and the Daliesque mustache.  You should see it waxed!

This week's book:

An exceptionally well researched book detailing the life of model/muse turned artist Suzanne Valadon.

Interesting, engaging biography. Her life from birth through death, and her effect on the art (and artists) of the day.

Well worth the time.

No movie yet this week.

Maybe tonight.

The news from The Trump-Circus...chaos and still more chaos.

Moving National Guards to reinforce the border at Mexico.

Scott Pruitt...on his way out...or possibly (this is so bizarre it might actually come to pass) moved into Sessions position.

IKR??? What the actual fuck?

Tariffs imposed on China...so China imposed a few of their own...now the Stock Market is spiraling...down.

And after quite a few red turned blue Special Elections...Mitch (Turtleman) McConnell is finally getting it...and foresees trouble in the form of a
#BIGBLUEWAVE coming in the midterms.

It is really special when you get to see the light come on...you know.

Might be a good time to understand...karma is only a bitch if you are.

And Mueller is still our best hope.

Settling in for a relaxing weekend!

See you Monday when we will return to Virtual Australia.
