Yarra Valley is a wine region east of Melbourne.
It boasts a cool climate and is best known for its Chardonnay, Sparkling Wine, and Pinot Noir.
The wine valley was first planted in 1838 and produced until the Black Saturday Fires of 2009...in which 25% of the existing vineyards were destroyed and had to be replanted.
Yarra's Chardonnay Oakridge is one of its better known exports.
