Mother's Day...2 Years- Our Day... Making Progress

Last Sunday was just wonderful!

Talked with all three of my boys...and James and Nicole got all my Grands together in one ginourmous group out back!  It was so great to see ALL of them again...and Hannah (who I haven't seen since Christmas...is now tall and leggy and becoming a young lady!!!)

May is progressing.

John...and photographic proof that Sofi loves him...lol!

We celebrated two years together, this week.

Flowers and chocolates...and exchanging a few of our favorite things.

(...and you know it is love when he also brings extra masks and gloves and toilet paper...)

I got treats and a feathered mouse for Gadget.

He brought some special toys for Sofi.

The best of which was a little ball shaped rabbit fur thing with googly eyes...it seems to offend Sofi no matter where she finds it...spawning a new game of sitting it places she frequently goes...to watch her look at it, like,

"What the HELL"

before she bats it hard with her paw and sends it flying!

You have to make your own fun in Quarantine.

Or perhaps we are just easily amused.

We shared our end-of-the-season morels.

Yes...that's love, folks.

Made lasagna and salad and garlic bread for dinner...with English Toffee Caramel  Ice Cream (...which I had NEVER tasted before) for afters.

So good!

Woke late the next day to sunshine and made quiche with some of the morels.

Plundered the garden shop and found this year's herbs!

Thank you for an amazing two years, John!

(and a wonderful two days)

And maybe a bit of NORMAL during this quarantine.

Worked (between rains) yesterday on the beginnings of the patio garden...

and finally pulling together my room...and love love loving my new Memory Foam topper!

So comfortable.

Enjoyed a post-finals visit last night with Chris...relieved that there is a week break before the next 8 weeks.

This past 8 weeks have been the toughest so far.

He is almost done!

Back to a Cinderella Day here...dust..scrub..launder...and maybe dodge raindrops again to finish potting my Bay Laurel and Chamomile plants.

And putting 3 more Hostas out in the border.

The color of the patio garden is Shades of Purples this year. My Purple Flag Irises budded out at near bloom. The lavender in the trough tub...admittedly a fake...but a very realistic fake...Nicole on Mother's Day asking

"Ohh...what is that called?"

and laughing

"PLASTIC, dear. That is called plastic."

Going to round out the flowers with some purple petunias...and call it a day.

Still waiting for a box from Bath and Body...and one more package from eBay...but can honestly say I now have pretty much everything I have ever wanted.

Who can say that, eh?

You know me....bubble bath, dark chocolates and candles (& flowers...and a cat)  and I am happy as a clam.

Life is good!
